The Rolex Yacht-Master II reference 116688 in 18ct yellow gold is one of the boldest and most technically ambitious watches Rolex has ever built. Designed for professional regatta timing, its blue Cerachrom bezel works with the programmable countdown function of calibre 4161 (one of the most complex movements in the manufacture’s history) via the ingenious Ring Command system.
At 44mm, the yellow gold case makes no apologies: this is maximum Rolex, pairing a white dial with vivid blue accents against the warmth of solid gold. The Yacht-Master II is produced in far smaller numbers than the brand’s mainstream sports models, and the full-gold execution is its definitive form.
